It connects to a host computer via an ultra-fast external PCIe 3.0 x8 interface, delivering up to 64Gbps of bandwidth to handle demanding tasks like 8K video production. The enclosure features sixteen hot-swappable drive bays that accommodate both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SAS or SATA drives, allowing for massive storage expansion. To achieve data redundancy and performance scaling, users must install their own 16-port SAS/SATA RAID controller or Host Bus Adapter (HBA). The NS780S-G3 is built with an aluminum housing and a robust cooling system featuring four quiet 120mm fans to ensure optimal operating temperatures. It is OS-independent, supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS systems, making it an ideal expansion solution for workstations like the Mac Pro 2019. The package includes the required PCIe host adapter, external cable, and internal miniSAS cables for setup.

Key Features

16 hot-swappable drive bays for 3.5" or 2.5" SAS/SATA HDDs/SSDs

External PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface with up to 64Gbps data transfer rate

Requires a user-supplied 16-port RAID card or HBA for operation

Designed for demanding workflows including 8K video production

Superior cooling with two front and two rear 120mm fans

OS-independent, supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS

Includes PCIe host adapter, external cable, and internal miniSAS cables

Specifications
<table style="width:100%;
