It connects to a host system via an external mini-SAS interface, providing data transfer rates up to 4800 MB/s for demanding applications and mass data archiving. The enclosure supports sixteen drives, accommodating both 3.5-inch hard drives for immense capacity and 2.5-inch SSDs for speed. For data protection, the NA331A relies on a third-party RAID controller card (sold separately) installed in the host system, enabling support for various hardware RAID levels including 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60. System reliability is enhanced with a built-in monitoring system for temperature and fan status, which triggers an audible alarm if temperatures get too high or a fan fails. Physical security is addressed with a keylock on each individual drive tray to prevent accidental removal. Cooling is managed by three rear hot-swappable 8x8 cm fans within a well-designed ventilation framework to ensure stable operation.

Key Features

3U rackmount enclosure with 16 drive bays

Supports both 3.5” HDDs and 2.5” SSDs with SAS or SATA interfaces

High-speed external mini-SAS host connection with up to 4800 MB/s throughput

Requires a host-side RAID controller for data protection

Built-in temperature and fan monitoring with audible buzzer alarm

Locking drive trays for physical security

Three hot-swappable 8x8 cm cooling fans for superior ventilation

Specifications

<table style="width:100%;
