These units are engineered for broadcast and proAV professionals who need to transport cinema-quality video and audio over standard 1 GigE IP networks. By leveraging the Dante AV Ultra codec, an optimized implementation of JPEG 2000, the system delivers visually lossless 4K/UltraHD video with extremely low latency—less than a single frame from encoder to decoder. The transmitter (4K-T) accepts video from 12G-SDI or HDMI 2.0 sources, while the receiver (4K-R) outputs to 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0. Both units seamlessly integrate into the industry-leading Dante audio-over-IP ecosystem, allowing for unified control and routing of up to 8 channels of audio alongside the video stream. Housed in a robust metal case, these devices provide a reliable and easy-to-deploy solution for networked video production, AV installations, and live events.

Key Features

Transmits and receives video up to 4K/UltraHD over standard 1 GigE IP networks

Utilizes the Dante AV Ultra (JPEG 2000) codec for low-latency, high-quality video

Features 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 connectivity for professional sources and displays

Integrates with the Dante audio-over-IP platform for unified AV control

Supports up to 8 channels of Dante audio, plus embedded SDI and HDMI audio

Hardware timestamping ensures sample-accurate AV synchronization

Specifications

Specification

Detail

SKU

IOX-RM

EAN/GTIN

VZ-305442

Video Codec

Optimized implementation of JPEG 2000 codec in FPGA

Network Interface

1x Neutrik etherCon RJ45 Connector – 1 GigE (Dante AV & POE+)

Video I/O

1x 12G-SDI & 1x HDMI 2.0 (Inputs on 4K-T / Outputs on 4K-R)

Max Resolution Support

(4K) 4096x2160p 50, 59.94, 60

Audio Support

Up to 8-channel Dante Audio; 8-channel embedded SDI/HDMI audio

Latency

0.5 frame (e.g., 2160p 60 Hz latency is < 8 ms between encoder and decoder)

Power

30 Watts Maximum; 12V DC IN or Ethernet 1 POE+

Dimensions (W x D x H)

8.74" x 7.09" x 1.65" (222.0 x 180.09 x 41.91 mm)

Weight

3.1 lbs (1.5 kg)

Country of Origin

USA
