Use the ColorChecker® Classic target to be able to reproduce colors in photos lifelike and in all lighting conditions. Each of the 24 color fields corresponds to a color that also occurs in nature and reflects the light just like natural objects.

The ColorChecker® Classic target contains 24 specially determined color fields, which extend over the entire color space with fields in natural and primary colors as well as gray balance and chromatic fields. The natural colors correspond to natural objects such as skin, leaves or the blue of the sky. Not only the colors, but also the reflection curves of these color fields almost correspond to their natural counterparts and thus reflect the incident light in the same way. This enables the colors to be reproduced in almost all output processes and lighting conditions. The ColorChecker Classic target can also be used to white balance your digital camera to reproduce high-precision, neutral white under all lighting conditions.

Compare your digital reproductions with the ColorChecker target or the object itself by placing the target in the first or in the RAW workflow in any image in the analog or JPEG workflow. When editing the image, you can then use the target to detect and compensate for differences in color reproduction. This independent standard helps you to avoid costly mistakes from the start and to minimize the subsequent post-processing time.
